Maunaloa Lei
The Maunaloa lei is an ornamental art piece that sits flat upon the shoulder when worn. The lavendar Maunaloa flower is from a pea blossom vine and is picked unopened and sewn through the calyx. The side petals are alternately sewn and the top petal is bent back to lay flat. The Maunaloa lei is restricted from the Mainland due to a native insect that loves this flower.
